May Levi // Workcation

 

Workcation is a term that describes the "new professionals" who prioritize leisure culture alongside their careers. This phenomenon blurs the boundaries between the two until they disappear, and even attributes importance to enjoyment over income.

The inspiration for the collection was my passion, which combines surfing and the sea with a deep observation of employees wearing business attire, primarily office workers in large corporations, and the combination of the two.

Considerations such as wave height, sea characteristics, and surfing competitions became central and taken into account just like important meetings and discussions.

The guiding line that accompanied me throughout the construction of the collection is the moment of transition and combination between the world of work and sharp dressing, and the world of leisure and comfortable, lightweight clothing, thus enabling a "surfing" between the business world and riding the waves.

In my RTW men's collection I created deliberate errors that allow for a comfortable and quick transition between the two worlds. By combining tailored and relaxed cuts, along with seamless connections of neoprene fabrics, using calculated connections and creative prints to create a comfortable and natural fusion between the two worlds.
