Imagine a perfect world. What does it look like? Zoom in, what is allowed? What is forbidden?
Who enforces the rules? Is there a need for rules at all?
The collection walks the line between utopia and dystopia; a romantic, fantastic reality and a synthetic man made one. How did technology turn from being the promise of a brighter future to facilitating a global disaster? Why do humans have the need to understand, probe and preserve nature, rather than being a part of it?
We designed 10 womenswear looks that are between high fashion and art to wear. Using hybrid motifs and surreal elements in materials and color schemes that range from natural to synthetic. Utopia, from Greek, meaning Nowhere - a reality that cannot be, anywhere. Perhaps a “perfect” world is one without humans and the closest thing being places where nature is wild, yet to be damaged by us.

שרטטו בדמיונכם עולם מושלם. מה יש בו? עכשיו נסו לרדת לפרטים קטנים יותר. מה מותר ומה אסור?
מי שומר שהכללים יתקיימו? האם צריך בכלל כללים?
בפרויקט שלנו ניסינו להבין איך הטכנולוגיה הפכה מהבטחת ענק לאסון גלובלי. דרך השימוש בפלסטיק, שמחקרים מראים כי ישנם חלקיקים מיקרוסקופיים שלו במחזור הדם שלנו, רצינו להדגים את הצורך של האנושות לחקור, לדקור ולשמר את הטבע במקום להיות חלק ממנו.
הקולקציה נעה בין האוטופי לדיסטופי, בין מציאות רומנטית ופנטסטית לבין מציאות סינטטית מעשה ידי אדם. עשר מערכות לבוש לנשים שנעות על הסקאלה שבין high fashion ל art to wear, יצרנו מוטיבים בני כלאיים, אלמנטים סוריאליסטים בחומרים טבעיים לצד מלאכותיים ובמנעד צבעים שבין הנטורליסטי לסינטטי.
אוטופיה, מיוונית, פירושה 'שום-מקום', כלומר מציאות שלא יכולה להתקיים לדעתנו, עולם אוטופי הוא עולם נטול אדם. הדבר שאולי הכי מתקרב לאוטופיה הם המקומות בהם רגל אדם לא דרכה מעולם, בטבע פראי ובתולי.
